Which Nebraska county sees the most auto fatalities?

Just as states can vary in how many traffic fatalities they see, so too can counties. A recent analysis came up with a list of which county in each state is the deadliest when it comes to traffic accidents.

The analysis looked at traffic fatality data going from 2000 to 2015 in coming up with this list. In determining which county held the top spot for traffic fatalities in each state, the analysis looked at fatality totals rather than fatality rate. Given this, the list leans towards more heavily populated counties.

What did the analysis point to as the deadliest county in Nebraska traffic-wise? It gave this spot to Douglas County. According to the analysis, there were 530 traffic deaths in the county between 2000 and 2015. This makes up 13.68 percent of all of the traffic fatalities that occurred in Nebraska over this period.

Now, while Douglas County has seen the most traffic fatalities of any Nebraska county in recent times, it is important to remember that fatal traffic accidents can happen anywhere in Nebraska. There are no parts of the state where the roads are immune to such deaths happening. So, traffic safety is something it is important for all of the state’s drivers to give proper regard to when out and about.

Traffic fatalities can come about in many different ways and can have a wide range of causes. So, what kinds of legal issues regarding compensation for the families of victims can come up in relation to fatal crashes can vary considerably. Skilled fatal accident attorneys can help families of those killed in auto accidents with identifying what such issues are present in their situation and what legal options they have given this.
